COSMOB partecipated at the General Assembly of the European Innovawood Network which took place from 26 to 28 March 2019 at the Thünen Institut located in Hamburg.
The event, with yearly recurrence, constitutes an important moment of discussion between the partners of the Innovawood Network. The general assembly represents an opportunity to provide an update on the current activities at European level and a crucial moment for the creation of new partnerships and collaborations in the field of research and training.
Specifically, COSMOB coordinated the “circular bioeconomy” discussion aimed the creation of value from organic products and for the use of recycled wood. This activity is functional also to the recently activated WoodCircus project, a project aimed at increase knowledge, increase awareness and improve the conditions for the adoption of efficient processes in terms of resource use and wood recycling.
47 representatives of research institutions, universities, VETs and technical schools, including 4 new members from Luxembourg, Spain, Belgium and France were present at the meeting.
Innovawood is the most important Wood-Furniture Research and Innovation Network in Europe, which today has 55 participating organizations and involves over 25 European countries.
