The current technological revolution is involving multiple sectors, and the same cultural bodies and institutions are starting a progressive process of digital transformation, as a tool for the promotion and enhancement of their cultural and territorial heritage.
The use of culture through digitization allows us to create a more inclusive model, accessible to all and capable of strengthening the sense of belonging to our community.
This accessibility is linked to the widespread use of new communication and information technologies, capable of reducing both physical and social distances.
It is in this context that the project “Periferia Digitale” is placed, which aims to promote the use of new digital manufacturing technologies as tools for inclusion and support for culture and education in our area.
The project has therefore concretely possible the redevelopment of the spaces inside the G. Rodari Library of Pesaro (Borgo Santa Maria district) by creating a real digital classroom accessible to all.
In this new context, but also in external places, experiences of cultural interest will be activated: information literacy meetings, music lessons, outdoor Little Free Library experiences and digital manufacturing courses.
The participation in this project represents for COSMOB a concrete possibility to foster creativity and “widespread” innovation by making available to citizens, technological tools, technical skills and spaces dedicated to digital manufacturing, the FabLab COSMOB .
The free course “Laboratorio di Fabbricazione Digitale” will take place within the FabLab with the aim of stimulating the learning and dissemination of technologies for the Wood-Furniture sector.
COSMOB believes in the innovative potential of urban suburbs and will accompany citizens step by step, so that they can become more and more co-protagonists of the socio-cultural development process of our territory.
